Letter from the ASAP Knights for NSTAR Walk

Dear friends, family and members of the community,

As staff, friends and family of the CeASAR/ASAP Team at Children's we feel privileged to work with and know of a truly extraordinary group of doctors, researchers, and clinicians. Together, with a dedicated community of patients and families, the CeASAR/ASAP team conducts life-changing research and provides high-quality clinical care in an effort to minimize the harmful effects of substance use and to ensure a happy, healthy, and productive future for all adolescents.

For the 2010 annual NSTAR Walk for Children's Hospital Boston, we've recently decided to make a team naming ourselves, ASAP Knights. ‘ASAP’ because it’s the acronym of our clinical program, the Adolescent Substance Abuse Program and ‘Knights’ because ASAP was founded and directed by Dr. John R. Knight, Associate Professor, Harvard Medical School.

We welcome you to our site and want to thank you for either joining or donating to our team. By joining or donating to the ASAP Knights for the annual NSTAR Walk ALL donations will go directly to the Adolescent Substance Abuse Program, ASAP, the clinical arm to the Center for Adolescent Substance Abuse Research. This includes: helping uninsured teens recieve the clinical care they need and deserve or help contribute funds for efforts involved in keeping our teens safe whether it be towards research or community outreach.

We hope you will think about joining or donating today! :)

In memory of those in the community we have lost due to adolescent substance use and in support of those who lives we hope to save with the clinical and research efforts of CeASAR/ASAP at Children’s Hospital Boston-- thank you, in advance, for your generosity and participation.

Sincerely,

Julie Johnson, Caroline Finlay and the ASAP Knights! Go Knights!
